The high standards of Western Australia’s accommodation hotels were acknowledged at the AHA Accommodation Industry Awards, held at Crown Perth tonight.
AHA(WA) CEO, Bradley Woods, said “the AHA Accommodation Awards underline the importance of the hotel sector to WA and their vital role in building the State’s reputation as a tourist destination.
“The awards recognise the high service standards and professionalism in WA and celebrate the dedication of industry professionals across a range of areas,” Mr Woods said.
“Hyatt Regency General Manager, Adam Myott, was inducted into the ‘Accommodation Hotel Industry Hall of Fame’ by Deputy Premier, the Hon Dr Kim Hames, and was thanked for his contribution to the industry.
“Crown Perth was a big winner receiving four awards which included Crown Metropol winning the ‘Best Resort Style Accommodation’ and ‘Best Deluxe Accommodation’ awards and Bistro Guillaume taking out the ‘Best Restaurant’ and ‘Wine List’ awards. These awards
recognise Crown Perth’s significant contribution and investment in Western Australia’s tourism and hotel accommodation sector.
“The cream of the crop of the state’s hospitality employees were also recognised for their efforts and dedication to the industry.
“Hospitality never sleeps, the industry runs 24/7 and without our enthusiastic staff and hotel management, we wouldn’t have anywhere to eat, drink or sleep,” Mr Woods concluded.
