We have been told since our childhood that we should bathe daily. But nothing beats laziness. However, one should also be cautious about the harmful affects of not bathing regularly. Read below to understand, hat happens to our body when we do not bathe:
1. Skin infections: If you don’t wash your body, it makes it easier for germs that cause actual skin infections to flourish
2. Not bathing is also harmful for people who have chronic skin conditions like acne. If you didn’t wash at all, dirt, sweat, dead skin cells and oil would start to accumulate
3. A crust of dirt on teh body. They are made up of different things like sweat and bacteria, and form a compact crust of dirt on a localized area of skin
4. You stink! Contrary to popular belief, it’s not actually sweat itself that smells. Sweat itself is actually odorless. It’s B.O., also known asbromhidrosis, that stinks. It happens when bacteria feed on the proteins and fatty acids in sweat, and then convert them into bad smelling chemicals
According to dermatologists, one should bathe daily if they are into gymming and a lot of on-field work. But in case your work does not require you to move much and you have a sedentary lifestyle, you should bathe at least thrice a week.
