Whistling Woods Neeta Lulla School of Fashion hosted its second edition of The Future of Fashion Forum 2015

Mumbai, January 24, 2015 – Whistling Woods Neeta Lulla School of Fashion embarked on a truly eventful journey as they hosted the second edition of ‘The Future of Fashion Forum’ on January 24, 2015. The Forum aimed at understanding the influence of global trends on Indian Fashion, as well as the use of new age technologies for fashion products and services.

On the occasion actress Neha Dhupia who inaugurated the event quoted, “It is an honour to be here. I think Whistling Woods Neeta Lulla School of Fashion is the only school of its kind where students get to learn and interact with stalwarts from the industry. This panel discussion was very interesting and the students asked relevant questions which were in sync with the dynamic world of fashion.”

The panel included names like Vinay Nadkarni, MD & CEO, Globus Stores, Gaviin Miguel, Fashion Designer, MohiniBoparaiGuleria&SunjayGuleria, Managing Partner, Exclusively.in, NishaJhangiani, Fashion Director, Verve Magazine, Fashion Designers like Ken Fernandez, SonaakshiRaaj, ShubhikaDavda, Fashion Designer, Label Papa Don’t Preach, Anna Romanczuk, Head, Visual Merchandiser, Bestseller brand ONLY, DarshniLal, Head, Visual Merchandiser, Genesis Luxury, Trevor Griffiths, Head of Photography, Bradford College University Centre, Gaurang Shah, Fashion Designer, Label Gaurang&BhaminiSubramanium, Textile Designer. They discussed how India is a lucrative market that can produce a global product and world-class retail environment.

The Forum was spread across the various categories to cover significant aspects of Fashion & Retail industry. Also, growth of fashion retail provoked thoughts and saw a lot of excitement as the gen-next was keen to understand on how strategies can be adopted. The forum was an initiative of the students from the fashion school. The day long forum additionally covered various topics concerning fashion trends & insights, developing the fashion eco system, changing face of fashion business and visual merchandising, among others, which were enlightening for the aspiring fashion students.

Speaking at the occasion Neeta Lulla said, “There is this budding interest among the youth today to explore various vocations and we are glad we could offer some guidance and insight in making a foray into the fashion industry. I am delighted and humbled to have had the best people in the industry to provide their valued inputs to get a broader outlook on the Indian Fashion industry and its global significance.”
