Rahul Gandhi, Congress vice president took a jibe at the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that if he can speak on TV and pop concerts then why not in the parliament on Tuesday.
“He can speak in pop concerts, he can speak in TV then why not in parliament,” the Congress vice president said to reporters outside the Parliament house;.
The remarks of the Congress vice president were made referring to Modi’s video-address at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex last week.
His remarks also comes as the opposition continues to disrupt the current session of the Parliament forcing several adjournments over the demonetization issue, claiming the Centre’s decision is causing problem to the people.
The Prime Minister on Saturday had addressed the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai through a video conference. The PM started his speech saying, “I know that I stand between you and Coldplay and so will make this brief.”
He had also said “India is a Young Nation. And our Future is built on the Choices YOU Make, and the Actions YOU Take. Hence, I hope YOU too will seize the moment and be the winds of change that are transforming our nation.”
