A 30 weeks pregnant woman went in to labour on board a jet airways flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia to Kochi delivered a baby boy .
“The baby was born around 8.45am, while the flight landed at Mumbai at 9.12″ said an airport source.
” Being the first baby to be born in flight , Jet airways is pleased to offer the newly born a free life time pass for all his travel on Jet Airways ” the airline said in a statement.
The airline expressed its gratitude to one Ms. Wilson , the on-board paramedic for her guidance.
The mother and the baby were rushed to hospital after landing and were doing well.
According to Jet Airways policy women are allowed to travel until the 36th week of pregnancy and provide medical certificate stating that they are fit to travel.
