The cast of Mozez Singh’s coming-of-age musical Zubaan – Vicky Kaushal and Sarah Jane Dias will be celebrating Valentine Day with disabled kids at an NGO in Mumabi on 14th February.
Vicky plays a singer in Zubaan and his character stutters but he overcomes that and falls in love with a Sarah’s character who helps him achieve his goal in life.
Considering that, both Vicky and Sarah decided to celebrate Valentine Day with disabled kids, particularly who can’t speak, at an NGO in Mumbai by performing live on all the songs of Zubaan and entertain them.
Mozez Singh’s directorial debut won accolades when it opened Asia’s biggest film festival, the Busan International Film Festival held last year with him bagging the Rising Director award. The coming-of-musical recently also played to an overwhelming response amongst the Indian communities of Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver and was premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) in California.
“Having worked with the NGO closely, I thought it would be great if Vicky and Sarah could visit the kids with speech disabilities and since the movie celebrates music, what’s better than the actors to sing and perform for them,” Mozez adds.
