Newspatrolling: While foiling multiple infiltration bids on the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian Army has killed 13 terrorists that were trying to enter in Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement, the Udhampur-headquartered Northern Command said that the Indian Army continues to defeat the threatening plans of Pakistan Army to push terrorists into the country. The Northern Command also said that Pakistan often resorts to cover fire to help terrorists cross to India and it also provides them all the supplies and resources including weapons, guns, food, camping and travel equipment, communication devices, medicines, etc. The army said that various specialized teams have been formed to combat infiltration and due to relentless operations, several terrorists have been intercepted and eliminated.
The 13 terrorists have been killed along the LoC in Gurez, Machil, Naugam and Uri sectors. The Army said that it has seized a large cache of explosives, inflammable material, and arms and ammunitions from the terrorists. The seized items point out to the involvement of Pakistan in promoting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. “Explosives, inflammable material and arms and ammunition recovered from the intruders indicate Pakistan’s designs to orchestrate high-profile terror incidents targeting innocent civilian population and security forces during the holy month of Ramadan,” the army said.
