Since a cold war has started between the son and father and the consequences are coming up are just worst than eve. Ram Gopal Yadav, who is known as the main mentor of the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, said that their claim to use the party symbol of the cycle remains quite valid. Ram Gopal Yadav has met with the Election Commission today to file the ownership rights.
Yesterday, it was seen that the renowned dad Mulayam Singh made the same claim before the election commission. The symbol is quite familiar to the voters for a decade and it is an incredibly valuable asset.
The Election Commission have got a very big responsibility as they could go for choosing either to suspend or freeze the party symbol and not to allot it to either side if the Samajwadi Party splits.
Today an attempt was made for the reconciliation, as the phone call between Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh, who was in Delhi, was made. The call was actually brokered by Azam Khan, who is a senior Samajwadi Party leader, who has also organized the weekend meeting between the Yadavs, though the compromise that was not accomplished on that occasion.
Afterwards Mulayam Singh was then flown back to Lucknow in a chartered plane under the care of Gayatri Prajapati, who is a minister from Akhilesh Yadav’s government.
Meanwhile, the Father and the son then met privately, floating the hope that in the absence of help with the vested interests, they would indeed be able to reconcile their personal and proifessional differences.
The brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Shivpal Yadav joined the meeting after nearly the two hours. On the weekend, the news gave the Goosebumps as he was removed as the man in charge of the party of the state, Uttar Pradesh. Evidently, Akhilesh Yadav was named as the party president and Mulayam Singh was given the “mentor” status.
The meeting, where these awestruck and new changes were made, was attended by almost thousands of the workers, for making it very clear that Akhilesh Yadav and not his father is the party’s preferred choice.
The strength of the favored people coerced Mulayam Singh into seeking for a compromise. For his part, Akhilesh Yadav has always said that he has no wish to undermine his father. He described his hostile takeover of the president’s post as the sort of “tough decision” that is sometimes needed to “protect the ones you love”.
One of the most important breaking points for the two factions was that that the Chief Minster’s choices of the candidates were simply rejected and the party list of the contenders was compiled fully by Mulayam Singh and his brother, Shivpal Yadav, who is a hostile opponent of the Chief Minister.
