Bangalore, June 04, 2015AllGo Systems, the leading product design company focused on providing embedded multimedia solutions for automotive and consumer markets, and CSR plc, a leading provider of location, connectivity, infotainment and audio solutions for the automotive market, today announced the availability of AllGo RACE Smartphone Connectivity Suite on CSR’s CSRatlas7™ automotive System on Chip (SoC).

AllGo’s RACE Smartphone Connectivity Suite enables automotive head units to connect to and control applications running on smartphones and tablets. RACE Smartphone Connectivity Suite consists of Android Auto Projection, CarPlay and MirrorLink. RACE Smartphone connectivity stacks are full featured, high performance and production proven SDKs supported on multiple operating systems. CSR has integrated the AllGo RACE Smartphone Connectivity Suite with its new CSRatlas7™ solution which combines infotainment, connectivity and location features. The turnkey SoC will enable automotive manufacturers to cost-effectively extend exciting new and competitive features usually associated with high-end vehicles, including accessing mobile applications from the head unit, to entry and mid-level cars. The highly integrated application processor has a dual-core CPU and GPU architecture with integrated peripherals, including Bluetooth®, Software Defined Radio (SDR), GNSS baseband, an audio DSP and high quality audio-codecs components.

“We are very happy to be working with CSR in the IVI market,” said K. RACE MME supports unified metadata browsing across devices with fast data base build up, superior search and multi-language sorting capability. RACE MME support for all the popular Smartphone connectivity protocols ensures that the automotive OEMs can offer unmatched media capability to their end consumers.

“The challenge for the automotive manufacturers of today is meeting consumer demand for a multitude of connected features, including accessing smartphone content on the head unit,” said Manfred Schlett, Vice President Platform Marketing at CSR. “CSRatlas7 simplifies this by combining all these features in one highly integrated SoC. By pre-integrating best-in-class solutions like AllGo RACE Smartphone Connectivity Suite with our own technology and by reducing overall BOM costs by up to 30 percent, we are helping our customers get to market fast with the features that will give them competitive edge.”
