As India’s only Digital Awards for Independent Artists in Music, @ArtistAloud wanted to engage the audiences and educate them about the public voting process that went live on 8th April 2015, on ArtistAloud.com.
The company used an Endorsed Trend with the hashtag #AAMA2014 to drive viewers and music lovers to go and Vote for their favourite artists. Fans can vote for their favourite artists across different genres like Pop, Rock, Fusion and Global music. The awards will have 4 categories like Best Song, Best Male, Best Female & Best Group in the Public voting section and 8 categories like Best Album, Best Video, Best Lyricist, Best Composer, Best Genre, Best language, Best Sound & Best Live Performer in Jury voting section.
By tapping Music lovers and supporters and adding rich influencers to its tweets, @ArtistAloud was able to significantly increase its brand conversations, and engagement on Twitter. #AAMA2014 trended on Twitter for 9 hours and saw around 24.5 K tweets, which had around 6500 retweets and 400+ new followers. #AAMA2014 ranked constantly between 3rd or 4th position trending in India – Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru & other metro cities.
The #AAMA2014 campaign kicked off on April 8th, 2015 and its longevity is evident as the hashtag is still used heavily by all the fans. The public voting process is open till 22nd April followed by the 2ndphase of voting for the nominated finalists under each category, happening from 29th April to 6th May, exclusively on ArtistAloud.com.
