CM Yogi picks up the broom to clear Taj Mahal controversies; calls it a gem

After comments and counter comments by various leaders and parties, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi has cleared the air that was recently polluted with various controversies surrounding the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. And he had to do it literally with a broom. CM Yogi visited the Taj Mahal today and he took a broom to clean the road that is located near to the Western Gate of Taj Mahal. It was a symbolic gesture to highlight that the UP government considers Taj Mahal an integral part of the state and the country. It was also meant to promote the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ in the country. During his visit to the Taj Mahal, CM Yogi was accompanied by various other leaders such as Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dinesh Sharma, UP Tourism Minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi, National SC/ST Commission Chairman and Agra MP Ram Shankar Katheria

Speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi talked about the glory of Taj Mahal. He said that the Taj Mahal stands tall and does not belong to any particular religion. He said that the Taj Mahal was built with the blood and sweat of Indian people and it is a truly Indian creation. CM Yogi also talked about the plans to improve tourism in Agra. He said that Agra already attracts around 50,000 tourists every day, but a lot more can be done. He said that the UP government would take initiatives to improve that number to 3 lakh tourists per day by improving tourist facilities and making the area safe for travellers.
