Expelled BSP leader Siddiqui accuses Mayawati of calling Muslims ‘traitors’

After Muslim leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui was expelled from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), he has now hit out at BSP Chief Mayawati, saying that she has insulted the Muslim community by calling them traitors. It may be recalled that Siddiqui was expelled from BSP along with his son, on charges that they were working against the interests of the party. However, Siddiqui claims that the allegations leveled against him and his son are false. Speaking at a press conference, Siddiqui said, “Mayawati ji ne mujhe bula kar poocha ki Musalmano ne BSP ko vote kyun nahi diya? Unhone kaha gaddar hain,” said Siddiqui. Siddiqui also alleged that Mayawati even insulted Kanshiram, the founder of BSP.  “Baad mein unho ne aur jaatiyon ko bhi bura bhala kaha. Kanshiram ji ka bhi apmaan kiya,” said Siddiqui.

It may be recalled that BSP is facing defeat after defeat in recent elections. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, it failed to win even a single seat. In the recently held Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, it managed to win only 19 seats. The poor show in elections is the main cause for the blame game that is currently going on in BSP.
