India all set to take on Germany

They will have a tough time against us: Lalit Upadhyay


Bhubaneswar, 29 November 2014 Gearing up for the Hero Men’s Champions Trophy 2014, the Indian Men team was seen practicing at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar on Pitch 2 which is the new pitch in the stadium and used for the first time by the team today. Playing their first match against Germany on the inaugural day, India team looked upbeat to beat Markus Weise coached team. Under Roelant Oltmans guidance the team was seen practicing and fine tuning their skills on the field today.

Speaking on the sidelines of the practice session, local boy Birendra Lakra said, “I am excited and looking forward to play on my home ground and in front of my home crowd.  I will look at giving my best and support Sardar Singh at the mid field position. The team is looking confident under Roleant and he is helping us in closing the loops and giving us tips which we are inculcating in our play. Playing against Germany on the first day, the team is confident of a win and we are putting our strategies together by watching videos and our last few clashes against them”

Speaking on the upcoming tournament Lalit Upadhay said, “I am confident for the upcoming tournament and I am looking at playing and contributing towards the winning form that the team is in. I am proud to be a part of this team who is full of confidence to take on any challenge on the field today. We are improving ourselves each day and I am sure Germany will have a tough time against us on Saturday
