The new 160 room city centre Hampton by Hilton Newcastle, which replaces the eight storey Baron House located on Neville Street, is located opposite Newcastle Central Station which has itself undergone a multi-million pound makeover.

Franchi joins Interstate from his position as General Manager at the Quality Hotel Boldon near Newcastle where he was responsible for the pre-opening and opening of one of the region’s newest and most stylish hotels and oversaw the achievement of a four star rating for the area’s first and only four star hotel only nine months after opening.
Prior to that he was Deputy General Manager at the exclusive Close House Hotel & Golf Resort and, before that, occupied the same position at The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle, where he started his career from the age of 15.
