In a tragic incident, a 5 year old boy has been run over and it is alleged that the incident was caused by a convoy of a minister in UP. The incident happened near Colonelganj in Gonda district. After the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered an inquiry in the matter. A report has been sought from the police. The CM has also announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the family of the victim. The CM has directed the DGP to take strict action against whosoever may be responsible for the unfortunate accident. According to some people, it is alleged that one of the cars in the convoy of minister Om Prakash Rajbhar was responsible for the incident. The alleged car had knocked down the kid when the convoy was passing through Colonelganj. The minor died when he was on the way to the hospital.
Some people have alleged that no one stopped the car to help the injured boy. However, Rajbhar has denied the allegations that one of the cars in his convoy had knocked down the kid. Rajbhar clarified that he was 25 km away in another car at the time of the accident. While the importance of safe driving cannot be undermined, the other side of the truth is also that people in small towns and villages are often careless about moving around near the roads. Also, there is the problem of people building their homes close to the roads. This is a problem that we see all throughout the country. With So many cars on the streets, such accidents are waiting to happen.
