Oppo in trouble, as Chinese national tears Indian flag and throws it in dustbin

A large crowd of protestors, including Oppo employees and members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), gathered outside the office of Oppo mobile phone company in Sector 63 in Noida to protest against the disrespect shown to the Indian national flag by a Chinese national. The Chinese national works in the company as a production manager, and it is alleged that he tore an Indian flag and threw it in the dustbin. A complaint was filed by three Oppo employees, based on which the police have registered a case against the Chinese national.

According to senior superintendent of police of Gautam Budh Nagar, Dharmendra Singh, the case has been filed for showing disrespect to the national flag. Singh said that no arrests have been made in the case yet since the matter is currently being investigated. He said that action will be taken against responsible people only after a thorough probe. The protestors have requested the police to check the CCTV footage to establish the truthfulness of the allegations laid against the Chinese national.
