Pakistan caught using fake image to accuse India at UN General Assembly

It’s said that truth will emerge triumphant in the end. And this is exactly what happened when Pakistan was caught telling lies in the UN General Assembly. Pakistan was trying to accuse India of atrocities, but its attempts have failed since the truth has been revealed. Pakistan stooped down to show a picture of a woman and said that it was the picture of a woman who was hurt in pellet gun firings by Indian security forces. Pakistan cunningly used the image of a woman to garner sympathy, but its attempts failed since it was all a lie. While flashing the photo, Pakistan’s ambassador to the UN Maleeha Lodhi said that India was an exporter of terrorism.

However, her lies have now been exposed as the image she used to point fingers at India was actually the image of a 17-year-old Gazan woman named Rawya abu Jom. She lives in Gaza and she was injured by shrapnel when Israeli forces had carried out an airstrike in the Gaza area. Even the photographer has been identified as Heidi Levine, who had taken the photograph in July 2014. However, even after her lies were exposed, Lodhi shamelessly continued her diatribe against India. Responding to her lies and false accusations, Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said, ‘Look who’s talking!’ A country that has been the world’s greatest exporter of havoc, death and inhumanity became a champion of hypocrisy by preaching about humanity from this podium.”
