Pirates of The Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge is the grand finale to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and it has all the ingredients to make it an epic adventure. The story catches up with the life of infamous pirate Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) who seems to have run out of luck and is being chased by the deadly ghost sailors, led by the ruthless and merciless Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). Filled with infinite rage after Jack destroyed everything Salazar once had, Salazar is willing to do anything to find Jack and destroy him, even if it may require killing every other pirate in the world.

However, there’s a way Jack can survive and it’s by getting hold of the legendary Trident of Poseidon. However, finding it won’t be easy, and it has to come through an edgy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), an intelligent and gorgeous astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a determined young sailor in the Royal Navy. But options seem to be running out for Sparrow, as Salazar is turning out to be the most formidable and malicious enemy he has ever faced.

The sets are supremely large, the landscapes are vast and wide, the oceans are dark and dangerous, and the VFX will make you go ‘wow’. To add to these, are the impeccable comic timing of the actors and impressive shots of the vast nothingness of the seas. The twists and turns seem bizarre, but not something that you can’t believe in. These will keep you engaged, even though you may already know where the plot might lead eventually. However, the climax is a real surprise and it is worth every penny.

This is the final voyage of the Pirates franchise, so you may not want to miss it.
