Rahul Gandhi a non-serious leader, says BJP

The BJP shrugged off the corruption charges made against the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Congress vice-president Rahu Gandhi and termed him as as a non-serious political leader.

A statement released by the BJP said, “It has become their habit to level baseless allegations against the Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi is a part time non-serious political leader.”

Gandhi during a rally in Gaujrat had alleged that Sahara had paid Rs40crore to Modi when he was not the prime minister.

The Congress vice-president had claimed that when the Income-Tax department had raided Sahara’s premises in 2014, they had recovered documents showing that payments have been made to Modi.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “Why do you take Rahul Gandhi so seriously. Even the Congress people don’t take him seriously.”.

Lashing Gandhi BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said “he himself is out on bail, so he should not make such allegations against the prime minister.”

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad talking to reporters in a press conference said that Gandhi was silent when his party-members were engaged in corruption. “Repeated defeats is making Gandhi make such baseless comments.”
