The actor-politician is often known to make headlines with his power-packed dialogues, both on-screen as well as off-screen. Ravi Kishan gets candid and talks about his experiences while playing ACP Tejraj in Matsya Kaand.
ACP Tejraj aka Ravi Kishan on multi-tasking
“Chain ki neend to do hi jagaah aave hai. Eka ki kok mein aur doosri arthi pe,” a hot mustache donning ACP Tejraj says in the trailer of Matsya Kaand.
Ask him if he is as ambitious in real life, he quickly agrees,
“Oh thakna toh sawaal hi nahi uth ta. Ek hazaar log reh rahe hain mere body mein. Unn logon ko bahar aana hai. Wo log fadfada rahe hain aane ke liye.
Main an ginat roop dharan kar sakta hoon. Aur maine kiye hain inn 650 films mein.”
Crawling his way up
ACP Tejraj is all set to hold Matsya’s collar and help him get caught. Will his honest ambitions to catch the professor be in his favour on the series? We don’t know. But in real life, he admitted that he has not walked, but crawled his way up in the industry, he is a firm believer in honesty.
“Main kuch banna toh chahta tha. Industry apni khud banayi Bhojpuri,” he reminisces.
“Main member of parliament bana. Goal to sabka life mein hona chahiye, haan uss goal ko paane ke liye shortcuts nahi hone chahiye.
Honesty ke saath kuch na kuch achieve karna hi chahiye ye toh bohot important hai,” he nods.
His respect for Matsya’s tapasya
While Ravi Kishan declared affection for his own character ACP Tejraj in Matsya Kaand, he also went all praises for the main character Matsya and the kind of effort the character had to put in, “teen teen ghanta baithna garmi mein bhi aur thand mein bhi. Main itni tapasya nahi kar sakta.”
OTT vs Big Screen
Kishan feels that starring for an OTT or the big screen hasn’t been a very different experience for him since the privileges have been the same in both the places. “Sirf naam OTT aa jaata hai, baaki koi khaas fark nahi hai.”
