Recipe: Amritsari kulcha at home in a pressure cooker

North Indians loves naans and kulchas. But what if we say that you can cook it at you home as well without a tandoor! I know you would be surprised, but yes this is possible. You can replicate the same authentic taste and flavours of amritsari kulcha at your home by cooking it in a pressure cooker.

⦁ Add yeast to warm water and keep it aside for 2 minutes
⦁ Take refined flour in a bowl, add a pinch salt, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, half a cup of curd, 2-3 teaspoons of oil and the prepared yeast
⦁ Make a smooth dough, and let it rest for 3-4 hours until it rises
⦁ Make round balls of equal sizes
⦁ Prepare stuffing as per your taste – Aloo / aloo pyaaz / paneer
⦁ Fill the stuffing in the balls on roll out in the shape of a kulcha
⦁ On the upper side, sprinkle some freshly chopped coriander leaves
⦁ On the other side, sprinkle few drops water and spread it evenly
⦁ Now take a pressure cooker and keep it upside down on the flame
⦁ Once the inside of the cooker becomes hot, stick the kulcha on the side wall
⦁ After 2 mins take the kulcha out and apply butter on top
⦁ Crumble it once by keepin it in your palms
⦁ Serve hot
