Travel Platforms witnesses surge during Holi as people move back

This time, last year, the infectious disease of coronavirus made its way to India and the mutating virus seems to be rearing its ugly head again. However, the vaccination drive has offered us some relief, especially to those who are planning to visit home towns or for Holi celebration experience with their family or the cities where Holi is widely celebrated.

In view of Holi festival, Indian Railways has also announced to run special train services in the month of March to ensure smooth and comfortable travel of the passengers.

Overseeing the building need to travel among people during the festival, Ticketing platforms sees overall increase of 20,000 bookings per day while, Travel ticketing platform, Confirmtkt witness a spike of overall 650 bookings per day on its platform for the upcoming Holi – long weekend. There have been travel bookings from Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore as people plan to move back to their hometowns (Tier II & III cities) and places like Pushkar, Goa, Mathura/Vrindavan received the most traction being popular for Holi celebrations.
