Two drowning Pak commandos rescued by Indian Coast Guard

Even as relations between India and Pakistan have hit rock bottom over the death sentence handed to former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, India displayed its compassion when the Indian Coast Guard rescued two Pakistani marine commandos near the Gujarat coast. The Pakistani commandos were drowning and if the Indian Coast Guard had not shown compassion, the commandos would have lost their lives. The commandos were saved even when they were earlier involved in an operation to capture Indian fisherman.

Reports indicate that the Pakistani commandos were on a mission to capture Indian fisherman. They had rounded up seven Indian fisherman boats and were taking them towards Pakistani waters. However, as they were moving towards Pakistan, one of the fishermen boats collided with the Pakistani launch and capsized it. There were total 6 commandos on the Pakistani launch, out of which three drowned, one is missing and two were rescued by the Indian Coast Guard. As a goodwill gesture, the 62 Indian fishermen were later released by Pakistan.
