Incidents of violence were reported from various parts of Bihar today, after Nitish Kumar surprised everyone with his decisive move to first resign from the Chief Minister’s post and to take it back the very next day with support from BJP. Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is the chief of RJD, has been dealt a severe blow due to the decision taken by Nitish. Lalu is known for his aggressive ways, and it was expected that he will not take this lightly. And it has come true, as RJD supporters in various parts of Bihar went on rampage to protest against the recent move by Nitish Kumar. In one of the incidents, the RJD supporters targeted Saran district magistrate Harihar Prasad and SP Anusuya Ransingh Sahu. The RJD supporters pelted stones on the cars of these officials, as chaos ruled the streets.
The RJD supporters were brandishing rods and other weapons and they also thrashed the district magistrate. The RJD supporters had blocked the JP Bridge in Sonpur, which was recently inaugurated. Another incident of violence was reported from RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s native village Phulwaria in Gopalganj district. The rampage in Phulwaria was led by Lalu’s elder brother Mangu Yadav’s grandson Lav Kush Yadav. The mob tore down the posters and banners featuring Nitish Kumar. Violent protests were also reported at Mania Chowk, where the mob burned an effigy of Nitish Kumar. Similar incidents were also reported from Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, and Patna. Such violence clearly shows that Lalu Prasad Yadav believes in ‘gunda raj’ and is likely to be involved in corruption.
